Dana Point is characterized by nearly seven miles of coastal bluffs and rolling hills along the Pacific Ocean. Housing varies dramatically in this beach city with beach cottages, tract properties and luxury ocean view homes in guard-gated neighborhoods. Select areas of Dana Point are zoned multi-family. Duplexes and triplexes can be found in the Capistrano Beach and Lantern Village areas. Along with San Clemente, Dana Point is a more affordable option when purchasing an ocean view home, than Newport Beach or Laguna Beach.

Monarch Beach is an affluent area of Dana Point and offers close proximity to the ocean, golf courses and resort hotels. Dana Point has one of the few harbors along the Orange County coast.

Dana Point Harbor attracts thousands of visitors annually for shopping, sport fishing, walking, bicycling, and access to Doheny State Park, one of California’s most popular beach facilities.

Dana Point is bordered by Laguna Niguel and Laguna Beach to the north, San Juan Capistrano to the east, and San Clemente to the south.
