San Juan Capistrano

San Juan Capistrano is said to be the oldest city in California with over 200 years of history. It is home to the widest variety of homes in Orange County, including those built prior to 1900 in its central district (some being adobes from the 18th century), multi-million-dollar homes in the gated communities of the hills, and working ranches in its foothills. There is a strong sense of community and focus on historical preservation. San Juan Capistrano is well known as an equestrian destination due to the large concentration of stables and boarding facilities.

An abundance of prestigious private schools are located in San Juan Capistrano including St. Margaret’s Episcopal School (K-12), Capistrano Valley Christian Schools (K-12), Saddleback Valley Christian Schools (K-12) and JSerra Catholic High School.

San Juan Capistrano is bordered by San Clemente to the south and Dana Point to the west. On the northern border are Laguna Niguel and Mission Viejo. To the east, the new community of Rancho Mission Viejo and unincorporated land borders San Juan Capistrano.
