Fun Things to do in OC

Golf the Pelican Hill Course – This is Orange County in its most luxurious setting. You don’t have to be a golf aficionado to enjoy the exquisite grounds of the Resort at Pelican Hill. This 5-star resort in Newport Beach boasts an iconic coliseum pool, three miles of pristine beaches along Crystal Cove and jaw-dropping scenery of ocean views from two 18-hole golf courses.

Rent a Duffy Boat – A fun daytime activity for friends or families, and an affordable way to enjoy some time out on the water. You can rent a Duffy boat in Newport Harbor for around $200 for 2 hours. Grab a cooler and some snacks, then head off on a fun adventure around Balboa Island to enjoy some spectacular view of immaculate waterfront homes.

Take a drive down PCH – Have you ever explored PCH throughout Orange County in its entirety? With breathtaking views, plenty of places to stop, shop and eat and miles of beach to enjoy this drive could take a little bit longer than planned. If you’re heading South, you’ll take PCH to the edge of Nixon’s coastal retreat in San Clemente, and if you head North you can see all the way until Long Beach before crossing over into LA County lines. But no one’s stopping you there! Pacific Coast Highway is one of the most scenic Southern California routes you can take.

Go for a Hike – You can actually hike the highest and lowest points of Orange County in the same day. Start by climbing to the top of Old Saddleback, the ridge between the two tallest peaks in Orange County, Santiago and Modjeska. Then, head back down and journey to the county’s lowest point, the Sinks, officially known as the Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve. You’ll feel about as far away from the suburbs as ever on this journey.

Visit the Mission San Juan Capistrano – Quite possibly one of Orange County’s most underrated attractions. The San Juan Capistrano mission is located in the oldest residential neighborhood in California and is the seventh of the state’s 21 missions. Filled to the brim with history and gorgeous architecture, you can spend an afternoon enjoying the grounds and learning about the true history of Southern California before it became what it is today.
