San Clemente

San Clemente is a beach town known for its ocean, hills and mountain views. Located at the southern tip of Orange County, San Clemente’s geographical isolation protects its small-town charm. The city was designed in a Spanish Colonial architecture style whose elements continue to be reflected in this 80-year old community.

There is a wide variety of housing available in San Clemente including beachfront homes, beach cottages, ocean view properties, condos, tract housing communities and luxury gated estates. Select areas of San Clemente are zoned multi-family. Duplexes and triplexes can be found in the Central and Southwest areas. Along with Dana Point, San Clemente is a more affordable option, when purchasing an ocean view home, than Newport Beach or Laguna Beach. Talega is the newest area of San Clemente.

Recent additions to San Clemente include the completion of the 2.3 mile long San Clemente Coast Trail, the San Clemente Aquatic Center and the Vista Hermosa Sports Park. The San Clemente Pier is a popular local and tourist destination with a nearby train station stop.

Surfing reigns in San Clemente with five miles of beaches, world famous surf spots and waves ranked as the best in Orange County. Surf spots include Trestles, Riviera, Lost Winds, The Hole, T-Street, The Pier, Linda Lane, 204, North Beach, Calafia and Poche Beach.

The Pacific Ocean, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano and the northern end of San Diego County border San Clemente.
